After a historic visit to New York City, the voyaging canoe Hokule’a set said for Block Island, Rhode Island Saturday afternoon. The visit included a ceremony with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon on World Oceans Day.
Hokule’a will sail as far as Nova Scotia before turning south toward the Gulf of Mexico and then onward to the Panama Canal in December.
