Some days it doesn’t pay to get up in the morning. Take this case of a Coast Guard rescue west of Makaha Beach on Tuesday (06 October 2015).  The good news is that the man injured on the disabled 30-foot sailing vessel was saved by Coast Guard Crews and treated for his injuries.  The bad news adds up to possible prison time for those rescued.  Following the search of the rescued vessel, a routine Coast Guard inspection found the vessel had numerous safety violations.  Coast Guard officers also discovered the injured crew member had an outstanding warrant from another state.  The Coast Guard turned the case over to Honolulu police.
