Honolulu police have arrested 43-year-old Anthony Pereira for the alleged murder of his mother, Barbara Pereira, in Maili on Sunday afternoon.

Pereira, who is being held on $1 million bond, faces charges of second-degree murder, possession of a dangerous drug, kidnapping, terroristic threatening, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
