Comment:
Road rage is becoming a major traffic problem in Hawaii. Earlier this month, a road rage incident on Oahu led to the stabbing of three people.
A proposed bill would add a new section to the traffic code which would define what road rage is “point by point”. The proposed legislation doesn’t specify penalties for the types of behavior that produce road rage.
Despite the limited scope of the new bill, it’s at least a first step in defining the problem and identifying the types of actions that lead up to violence on the road.
