Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell and Honolulu’s first responders paid tribute to the victims of 9/11 with the annual “Mayor’s Remembrance Walk” on Sunday.

The solemn walk began at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Honolulu Police Headquarters and ended at Honolulu Hale with a ceremony at the Eternal Flame.  The terrorist attacks on 11 September 2001 claimed the lives of almost 3,000 people, including 71 law enforcement officers and 343 firefighters.
