Through Monsanto Hawaii’s monarch butterfly program, nearly 100 thriving crown flower (Calotropis gigantea) plants have been added to their Kunia and Molokai farms

Monsanto is committing more of its Hawaii resources in Hawaii to protect the habitat and ecosystem of Monarch Butterflies in Hawaii. Monsanto Hawaii is using nearly 100 thriving crown flower plants at its Kunia and Molokai farms to serve as “havens” fro the Monarch Butterfly.

National Butterfly Education and Awareness week begins on Saturday, 04 June 2016, with the goal of educating the public about the role butterflies have as pollinators in Hawaii.
