The Hawaii Department of Health has begun a website to post updates and information on Oahu’s hepatitis A outbreak:
http://www.health.hawaii.gov/decd/hepatitis-a-outbreak-2016.
As of 12 July 2016, the state health department has confirmed 52 cases of hepatitis A on Oahu. The source of the infection is under investigation.
Two restaurants on Oahu had employees who tested positive for the infection:
Baskin-Robbins in the Waikele Center.
Taco Bell in Waipio.
Those who dined at these restaurants during the past month are encouraged to get a hepatitis A vaccination.
