A fitting tribute to Hawaii Congressman Mark Takai who recently died from pancreatic cancer. California Congresswoman Judy Chu said “Mark truly had teh aloha spirit, and was deeply committed to advancing the priorities of Hawaii and our veterans.”

A special election to fill Takai’s unexpired term will be held during the 08 November 2016 general election.  That term will be very short–it will last only until the end of January 2017.
