Volunteers cleaning the debris-filled Keehi Lagoon on Oahu are making great progress in preparing the area for the 06 August 2016 OHCRA canoe racing championship.  On Thursday, volunteers, including a few from neighbor islands began working their way to the other side of the lagoon where storm-generated debris still clogs the water.  According to OHCRA president Luana Froiseth, four dumpsters have been filled and taken away for disposal.  Volunteers are still needed to make sure the lagoon is ready for the rescheduled races.
