A state Department of Education official says the goal of cooling 1,000 classrooms in Hawaii is “within reach.”  Dan Carlson tells KHON 2 news that “we should have contracts out ready to go and actively engaged on those thousand classrooms” by the end of the year.  Carlson adds that new, revised bids are expected to come in at lower levels.
